Our Passport Renewal

Recently, my husband and I decided to renew our expired passport. My husband needed it for his work and I need it for just in case of emergency for going back to Japan. And yes, my little girl also has her passport. Anyway, it was very surprising to see our passport arriving at our house 2 weeks after we submitted our paper work. I heard many terrible stories about how it takes a long time to obtain a passport, so I was very surprised. Now that we all have current passports, we are ready to travel overseas. We do not have any particular plans for the near future, however my grandfather is not doing well in Japan, so we might be flying to Japan sometime this year. I hope that I don't have to go, but if I need to, at least we can just get up and go without worrying about our passports.
