House
Painting
Posted April 29th, 2010 by hipmommyI've decided to repaint my living room. The current color on the wall right now is dark brown. I don't know what I was thinking when I picked this color 5 years ago. It is very dark that it makes my living room look so small. My husband and I decided that we need to go with more of a neutral color, lighter and so on. I've already started to put some primer on the wall. It is taking me a long time to do it though. I've been putting two coats on each wall. I have 2 more walls to go..... It is tough to deal with two little kids, but this needs to be done. We are thinking about putting our house on the market in the next few years, so we really need to keep working hard to make this house to stand out. Wish me luck with our home projects.
I received an allergen reduction kit
Posted May 19th, 2008 by hipmommyLate last week, I received a package via FedEx. At first, I did not know what it was but I quickly realized that it was a free trial of allergen reduction kit that I signed up last month. I was given an opportunity to try out free full sized Febreze Allergen Reducer and Swiffer Dusters! I was expecting some small tiny samples, so getting full sized products really surprised me.
Since I have two yellow labs that shed all year around, using these two products really made a difference in my cleaning routine. My daughter used to dust around the house with a towel in the past, so she was really happy to use the new Swiffer Duster! Just look at my pictures below. I love this Swiffer Duster! It really picks up all kinds of dusts in no time!
As for the Febreze Allergen Reducer Spray, I've already sprayed it in my bedrooms, living room and so on. According to the information sheet that I received along with the package, Febreze Allergen Reducer fabric spray reduces up to 75% of allergens and that can possibly become airborne from fabrics. I go through allergy problems all the time, so I was very excited about the product. I've been using Febreze Allergen Reducer fabric spray since last Friday and I am starting to notice that my indoor allergy symptoms have starting to subside.
Based on my experiece, I am giving these products A+ and will keep using them in the future. If you would like to reduce allergens in your household, I highly recommend using these two products.

Dusting
Posted March 22nd, 2008 by hipmommyI can't believe the amount of dusts I wiped today in my house
. My husband has been cleaning the house, so I just assumed that when he vacuumed, he was dusting as well. Well, I was wrong. No wonder I've had severe allergy problems in the past few days!!! Now that I dusted my whole house, I feel like I can finally breath without any allergy problems. I'm gonna have to fire my husband from his house cleaning duty. He won't be cleaning our house anymore!!!!!!
