It is so quiet in here right now. My husband volunteered this morning to take care of our daughter to get ready for pre-school. He even took drove her to school as well. I am working in a nice quiet room right now. This is so nice. I wish I can have this quiet time everyday! Now that my mom's divorce is over, I am not as stressed as before, but I still have to think about her finances and it is giving me a headache. I wish I can slow down on my freelance work, but I have to keep working hard to support my mom. Currently, my husband and I are sitll paying my mom's mortgage. We have to keep supporting her until her house gets sold. It is tough for us to pay two mortgages every month, but some how we are doing it. Please pray for us that my mom's house will get sold soon! I am back and it is so nice to be in my own home again. I was gone for one week to help out my mom with her divorce trial. It was a big mess, but she is finally divorced. We have not seen the official divorce paper work and still do not know if her ex-husband is going to follow the judgment that he received.  I am not going to discuss what kind of settlement my mom received on here..... I am just going to say that it was not much. Even though this divorce is over, my husband and I have to continue supporting my mom financially until she can start to support herself. She is looking for a job now that will pay health insurance, 401k, vacation and so on. We are kind of coaching her to get rid of all of her credit cards debts. My stress level is still very high...... I need to get back to my freelance business this week so that I can make extra money to help support my mom. I've got a trip coming up out to east coast to help out my mom in a few days. I'm overwhelmed with the fact that I still have tremendous amount of work that I need to complete before I leave my house. I just do not have enough time.......  I have to send invoices to my clients, design a new website for a new client, update a website for one of my current clients and so on. Doing a business on my own is not easy. Don't forget that besides my freelance work, I do take care of my daughter, cook, clean and do other household chores. My husband helps me out a little on the business side of my freelance work, but he has his own full-time job, so his time is very limited. I just want to cry cry cry. My husband has told me that he is going to drive our daughter to her pre-school this morning so maybe I might be able to check off stuff from my things to do list this morning. I hope I can. I just wrote a loan check of $500 to my mom so that she can pay her mortgage this month. My mom's estranged husband was ordered by court to pay their mortgage until their divorce is finalized, but he has not paid any dime. I am very angry at my mom's estranged husband for not taking any responsibilities. We really should not be suffering for this...... We have been supporting my mom with her attorney fees as well for the past year. Although we are expecting to get our money back after the divorce settlement, we are not sure if her estranged husband is going to follow the final court order. I was just talking with my mom few minutes ago on the phone. My mom noticed that I sounded very uncomfortable speaking Japanese. Lately, I don't really have many opportunities to speak, write or read Japanese. Maybe lack of opportunities are making me feel uncomfortable to speak Japanese. I do occasionally watch Japnese shows on the internet and understand everthing, but speaking is getting to be a problem for me. I also try to teach Japanese to my daughter, but I always end up speaking English to her. I guess English is taking over my brain!!!! Ahhh....  I just have to make more opportunities to speak Japense with my Japanese friends and family. Other wise I think I'm going to lose it all. I really have to keep up with my Japense speaking skill Wish me luck.

Well, my mom had her knee surgery done this past Wednesday. When she called me she sounded just fine, but she said that she was really starting to feel some pains once the medicine started to disappear from her system. She was in so much pain yesterday that she could not even talk on the phone. She finally called this morning and said that her knee has been swollen (according to the Dr. which is normal for few days) and she can't wait to go back to her own house. Yes, she is staying with her friend, but she said that she can be more comfortable at her own home. I feel so bad for not be able to help her out. I hope that her recovery will be a quick one. My brother will be helping her out this weekend, so I feel a little better but I really want to be by her side right now to help her out!

My mom is going to have a major knee surgery today. I wanted to be with her, but with our financial situation and my work & daughter's school, I just can't be with her today. It is tough not being able to help her. I wish I was living in the same state. anyway, at least she has a very good friend who is willing to help her during pre-surgery and post-surgery. We just got back to our house two hours ago. Oh my, it was a long drive back from east cost to midwest. This past week was absolutely awful trying to help my mom with her legal documents for her divorce. My husband and I were very frustrated with my mom, but at least we got a lot of things done. We've got another round of my mom's attorney invoice and it does not look pretty. It was more than we expected. We are hoping to get all our money back when her divorce gets settled, but it is starting to hurt us financially. I just can't wait for my mom's divorce to end soon!!!!!!

My husband, my mom and I went to see my mom's divorce attorney last night. Oh my, it was very stressful. We were expecting to spend 1 hour with her attorney, but we ended up having talking to him for 3 hours. We had to go through many paper work, list items, and so on to get my mom ready for her divorce trial. I was basically was translating some of the documents for her. It was tough. When it was done, I had a very bad headache for using up all my brain powers. Anyway, at least yesterday's meeting was very productive. We still have a lot more stuff to prepare for her trial, but so far it is going very well. Please wish us luck that my mom's divorce will get settled soon. Thank you!

We are scheduled to meet with my mom's attorney later this afternoon. My husband & I are hoping to some how speed up the process of my mom's divorce settlement. Due to supporting my mom financially, our savings account has reached down to 0. We are starting to get worried about being able to pay our own living expenses. We left our house at 4:00a.m. yesterday. It took us 13.5 hours from Midwest to east coast. It was a long long drive. We even drove through the snow. At this moment, we are staying at my husband's parents' house. We were thinking about staying at my mom's, which is 20 minutes away from my in-laws but we found out that the bank might take her house away soon. Yes, the bank has started to conciser foreclosing my mom's house. My husband and I were so upset the fact that my mom did not bother to read the waring letter from her mortgage company. Now, in order to save her house, we have to come up with the mortgage money for her. My mom's husband has stopped making payments for the house back in November. We have to some how come up with the money for 3 months of mortgage payments plus late fees! We got to spend a few hours of my mom last night, but I was very mad and frustrated with her. I don't know what to think of her anymore. She is totally depending on us and not taking any responsibilities..... I love my mom, but I am getting to the point that I want to disown her. I am getting tired of paying her expenses. I am also frustrated the fact that my mom is blaming other people for her own mistakes. She is in so much debts and we also discovered that she has a medical condition that requires a major surgery. I am so overwhelmed of her situation. Anyway, I am very stressed out. I am going over to my mom's house this afternoon and hoping to come up with some type of plan to help her out. Please pray for us that my mom can get her divorce settled soon.

We are going to drive out to east coast tomorrow morning to help my mom... Well, she is having a small problem with her divorce settlement, so we decided to drive home for a week to help her out. I hate to take my daughter out of her pre-school next week, but we just have to do it. I am sure that while we visit my mom's attorney, he will give us another round of invoice for his services. Which probably will end up around $2000! Yes, since my mom has no money, we have to finance her attorney fees. I am getting tired of her divorce. I know it is getting closer to the end, but it is very draining....... Please pray for us that everything goes well while we visit my mom. I just got a phone call from my mom. I guess today's hearing was not in front of the judge. Today was the day that my mom and her estranged husband to negotiate in the final settlement in a private room that was set up for them at the court. Well, her estranged husband did not want to agree with the alimony amount that my mom's attorney requested. So, my mom's attorney decided to take this case to the judge (a trial). Which means that we need to wait for another 2.5 months to get her court date. This divorce thing is so complicated. My husband and I promised each other that we are not going to divorce! Getting a divorce is awful. My mom's divorce has been very draining for us. Anyway, I hate the fact that legal system is moving so slow. I can't believe that this whole divorce thing is taking almost over 1 year. Please wish us luck that my mom's divorce will come to an end soon! Thank you!

I am getting a little nervous this morning....... This morning is my mom's one of many court date hearings for her divorce. At least her divorce is almost settled, but I am very worried about today's court hearing. Well, she had to explain to the judge about her finances. My mom decided to tell us at the last minute that she needed a written statements explaining her self-employment earnings, expenses, taxes and so on. I was furious, I just did not know what to say. My husband basically pitched in and started to help her over the phone, went line by line on her financial statements, wrote up a summary, charts and so on...... He started to help her out at 10:00a.m. yesterday morning and got done with her around 10:30p.m. last night. We also went over the documents numerous times so that she knows what to say in the court room. I am sure that she is in the middle of her court hearing right now. It is hard for me to just wait and see what happens.... I hope that everything is going well in her way and I hope to hear some good news from her. Please pray for my mom that she can start her new life soon! Thank you!

I think I wrote about my sleeping problems in my past post few days ago. Well, I had another bad night of sleep last night. I don't know what it is but I have been waking up between 1:00a.m. and 2 a.m. in the morning for the past few days. When I wake up in the middle of night, I just can't go back to sleep for about 2 hours. I am up for 2 hours working...... then go back to sleep. When I wake up in the morning, I just feel awful and feel like I did not get enough rest. I don't know what to do. Maybe I am very stressed out. I have been trying to do Yoga everyday to relax myself, but I think I need to do more things to get my stress out. I just hope that my mom's divorce gets settled soon. I think her divorce is the main cause of my stress right now. I love my mom, but her divorce situation is kidding me. I wish I can just tell her that this is her problem, not mine...... Well, I just cannot be a cold hearted person. Please pray for my mom that her divorce is going to get settled soon!
