Living Room Bliss

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine.

My living room is back to a more calm and neutral color after this past weekend. I repainted the room to an off-white, Capuchino White from Glidden, to be exact. Previously, I had painted the room a dark chocolate brown in my attempt to be bold. I was ready for a change and wanted to lighten up the room. It was always very dark in the room and we needed a lot of lighting in the evening. We are also getting ready to sell the house when the market comes back a bit.

I ended up trying 2 or 3 of their samples because I wanted to avoid the mistake from the past. Glidden had nice samples for purchase and the brush was already included. I've bought gallons before and they ended up being half used once we realized the color stunk. The samples were perfect. We ended up discarding a couple of the tan colors because we didn't want the room to be dark again. Matching with oak moulding can be so difficult. In our future new house, the first project will be to paint the trim and moulding pure white.

The ceiling was the easiest thing to repaint. Glidden has a new ceiling paint that goes on pink, but drys white. I hadn't seen this before in other products until the Home Depot guy recommended it to me. It makes it very easy to see what you have painted and what is old. The Glidden white really popped compared to my old and faded ceiling white from before.
