I recently had an opportunity to read the National Geographic's new book, “Photographing Your Family: And All the Kids and Friends and Animals Who Wander Through Too” written by Joel Sartore with John Healey. This book will be available at bookstores on March 18, 2008.

I was just talking with my mom few minutes ago on the phone. My mom noticed that I sounded very uncomfortable speaking Japanese. Lately, I don't really have many opportunities to speak, write or read Japanese. Maybe lack of opportunities are making me feel uncomfortable to speak Japanese. I do occasionally watch Japnese shows on the internet and understand everthing, but speaking is getting to be a problem for me. I also try to teach Japanese to my daughter, but I always end up speaking English to her. I guess English is taking over my brain!!!! Ahhh....  I just have to make more opportunities to speak Japense with my Japanese friends and family. Other wise I think I'm going to lose it all. I really have to keep up with my Japense speaking skill Wish me luck.

I've earned my Bachelor's degree back in 2002. I concentrated studying in conputer graphics technology while I was in college. I Recently, started to think of opening my own E-business utilizing my knowledge/skills in computer graphics technology. I know many things about technology from my undergraduate studies, however, I am lacking knowlege in Business side. I got to be one of the screening viewers for the new VeggieTales movie: The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. The movie is officially coming out in the theaters on Friday, January 11, 2007. Yes, my family had an opportunity to view this family-friendly movie last night, 3 days before the official opening date. My daughter has been waiting for this movie to come out. We have been going to the movie's official website to play some fun games, watching the previews and so on for the last few days.

My family loved The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything because it brought out important life lessons/messages. One of the main themes of the movie is heroism. The movie points out that anyone can be a hero. You do not have to be tall, strong, handsome…or even human. I believe that this movie teaches the children to have confidence, courage and a caring heart. If three cute little veggies can do things that they thought were impossible, anything is possible. The movie truly makes it fun for the children to enjoy and learn.

The new VeggieTales movie: The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything will be a great movie to go see as a family. Take some time off and spend a quality time with your child(ren). I guarantee you that you'll enjoy the movie. My daughter, husband and I had a great time at the screening. The movie contains comedy scenes, adventurous scenes, and many other great scenes. There were a couple clean jokes that were targeted to an older audience.

I just received a local junior college's spring semester catalog. I was just reading through it to see if I can take some interesting classes like self improvement seminars and so on. As I went though the catalog, I saw some funny, unique, and questionable classes listed on the catalog. One class I found on the catalog is titled " How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk/Jerkette" lol..... I was laughing so hard at this class title and the description. Is this for real? It is a one day class for $74.

Another class I saw was titled "Work Day Math". I am sure that not everyone loves math, but this class teaches basics of fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, basic statistics, credits and debits and the time value of money. I am not saying math is easy but it frightened me to read its last sentence on its class description. It states that " This class is designed for anyone in the insurance, real estate or banking industries". Don't you think that if people are already in the insurance, real estate or banking industries, these professionals should know the basic skills of math? Or am I wrong? I understand if this class was offered to people who are interested in entering to these professions, but not for people already in these professions.

Anyway, I just wanted to share these classes with everyone. I am still half way through the catalog and hoping that I can find some interesting and useful class that I can take. Wish me luck.

It is hard to believe that my daughter will turn 4 years old this year. She is getting more active and eager to learn new things everyday. She is asking me that she wants to learn Piano, Yoga, Dance, Japanese(I speak Japanese) and play soccer. Oh my, I don't know which activities I should let her to learn. I want her to learn them all, but sending her to classes can be very expensive. Since I do Yoga everyday using DVD,I might get a kids yoga DVD for her and teach her yoga myself. I need to make some time each day to teach her Japanese since I fluently speak & write Japanese, but am also thinking about enrolling her into a special Japanese class that is offered at a local cultural center to get her to use Japanese with kids in her age group. I need to save up money for her Japanese class. I looked for piano lessons, but they are so expensive! Most of private lessons are $20 for 30min-1hour a week. Which will cost me about $100 a month. I don't know if I can afford this. Maybe when my mom's divorce gets settled, I might be able to afford my daughter to take some piano lessons. My husband is against sending our daughter to take piano lessons at this age, but I believe that it is very important for her to learn some discipline at early age. I just have to work harder so that I can send her to learn many things and experience new things in her life.
