Hectic morning
Posted October 7th, 2010 by hipmommyOh my, this morning was very hectic. I had to get my girls ready in the morning and plus I had to make my 1st grade daughter's lunch for her field trip. I woke up early, but time really goes by fast. Before I know it, it was 8:00a.m. I quickly packed all her lunch, dashed upstairs to help her with her hair and off she went on the bus. My husband usually takes her to the bus stop, so at least I did not have to walk her to the bus stop. I just like my every day routine where I do not have to rush. I do enjoy making her special lunch, but with a toddler running around, it is a bit hectic. Anyways, I'm back to my normal routine taking care of my little one now. She has been interested in Elmo lately, so she is currently watching TV. Finally I can get some work done around here!!!
PlayStation®Move!
Posted October 6th, 2010 by hipmommyThis is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am excited to let my readers know that new PlayStation®Move is now available. This is a combination of PlayStation®3 system, the PlayStation®Eye camera and the PlayStation®Move motion controller that will allow you to have more control over how you play your games. The PlayStation®Move will capture/detects your full motion while you are playing your game(s). If you were to play one of the sporting games such as golf, you will swing your controller as if you were swinging a real golf club. It is a realistic gaming experience that you can experience with your whole entire family. If a little genie appeared and game me and my family the PlayStation® Move, it will change our game nights into more fun and exciting nights. In the past we would sit around and play games with no movements, but now we can actually play games that will allow us to move around and be more competitive. Pretty soon, the cold weather will come on our way. The PlayStation®Move will give our family a perfect opportunity to exercise during a long winter months. Our family love bowling, but since our youngest daughter is so small, we really can't go to a bowling alley. For that reason, I am very interested in playing PlayStation®Move's Brunswick Pro Bowling game. It will give us a realistic feeling of playing bowling game right in our own game room down in our basement. We have fun at our own home after our youngest daughter goes to sleep. In addition, PlayStation®Move's controller seems to be easily handled and it comes with a safety strap. Another nice thing about the PlayStation®Move is that you can bring motion gaming entirely to your current PlayStation®3 for just $99 with the MOVE bundle package! Great deal right? If you are looking into more actions on your games, get your PlayStation®Move today!
Field Trip Day
Posted October 6th, 2010 by hipmommyMy oldest daughter's school is having a field trip day tomorrow. She is very excited, but I'm a bit worried. There was an option to chaperon, but because I have no one to watch my little one, I had to decline. I hope that my daughter enjoys her trip tomorrow. Only bad thing about this trip is that I have to wake up early in the morning to prepare her lunch. She has been buying lunch at school, so this will be my first attempt to prepare her a sack lunch. I wanted to make this very special, so I've already decorated a brown bag for her. She has already seen it and I got a big smile from her. She can't wait until tomorrow. I hope that weather turns nice tomorrow and my daughter can have a lot of fun with her classmates.
my daughter's t-shirt
Posted September 21st, 2010 by hipmommyMy oldest daughter and I went out shopping the other day, and we found this cool t-shirt. It comes with black and white design with colorful markers that let you color right on the shirt. We purchased one and my oldest and I had a lot of fun coloring this t-shirt together. I am amazed of so many fun things for kids are available now. I wish I had this t-shirt when I was a child. I have not washed the t-shirt after coloring, so I do not know how the color holds, but I really enjoyed spending some quality time with my oldest one. I was happy to see her go off to school full time at the beginning of this month, but lately I am starting to miss her so much. Oh well, I guess this is just a part of being a parent. Anyways, I need to get ready soon to take my youngest daughter out to her weekly lapsit story time at the library. I'm sure that I will be chasing her around, but at least she gets to interact with other kids her age.
quiet afternoon
Posted September 2nd, 2010 by hipmommyOh my, this house is being too quiet this afternoon. My youngest daughter has been taking an extra long nap. I am happy that it is very quiet, but at the same time, it is kind of weird. I am so used to the background noises, so I am starting to feel like I do not know what to do with myself. I guess that is why I'm taking this time to blog. I love blogging and wish I had more time working on my blog. My youngest daughter is down to one nap a day now, so I really don't have much time for myself. As always, my mind is running 100 miles an hour thinking about blogging ideas, product ideas and so on.... but I just don't have enough time to execute my thoughts. Why do we need to sleep? I wish I can stay up 24/7 and be able to do it all. I can only dream about it, right?
School!
Posted August 16th, 2010 by hipmommyMy oldest daughter is going back to school next week! She is getting excited about it and I am as well. I no longer have to plan activities for her. She is going to First grade, so she will be in school full day. I'll finally have some one on one time with my 18 months old toddler. Taking care of just one child is so much easier than dealing with two. And I'll have some alone time while my little one takes her daily nap. I can't wait. I was not able to do much with my freelance work this summer, so I am hoping that I can get a lot of work done. I need to start working on my online shops as well. Well, I better get some sleep soon. I do not want to feel like zombie tomorrow morning...... Have a good night everyone.
busy weekend, busy week
Posted August 2nd, 2010 by hipmommyYes, it's Monday and I'm so exhausted. My daughter's Fall ball practice has began on Saturday, so my husband and my oldest were busy. I was busy taking care of my little one at home chasing her around. On Sunday, we went over to friends' all afternoon and had a great time. My oldest wanted to plan a play date with more friends today, but I put a stop to it. I just needed a day to lounge around in the house and try to do laundry, cleaning and so on. I wish I can stay in bed all day...... but things need to get done around this house. I'll be out all day tomorrow with my daughters' activities once again, so I need to keep working hard today to finish up. I can't wait until my oldest starts school again, so that I can start doing some of my freelance work. I really need to keep up with my skills. Anyways, I just hope that I can survive through this week with more activities for my daughters. Wish me luck.
Zoo
Posted July 25th, 2010 by hipmommyWe took a trip out to the zoo today. It was fairly nice out and we really enjoyed it. My little one was pointing at the monkeys and smiling. Last year, she had no interest in looking at the animals, but now she really enjoys the zoo. Oh, and my oldest one and I were able to touch the sting rays as well. It was a great experience. We were trying to feed the sting rays with little tiny fish, but I guess they were too full... They did not want to eat. At least it was a great advantage to buy food for them because they came near us many times. My oldest got soaking wet, but she was very happy and proud to be able to touch the sting rays.

Bright Beginnings
Posted July 7th, 2010 by hipmommyThis is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.
There is a brand name infant formula called Bright Beginnings from Parent's Choice. They recently came up with the new can design and I love it. The design of the can looks very bright. If you are looking to supplement your baby's nutrition with an infant formula, I would suggest to look into Bright Beginnings. The Bridght Beginings offers all types of infant's formulas, such as Organic milk-based formula, milk-based formula with DHA and so on. I am personally impressed with its organic milk-based formula. We have so much harmful things in our foods now a days and it is good to know that Bridght Beginings offers organic milk-based formula that is made without any potentially harmful pesticides, added growth hormones or antibiotics. Not only that it includes the lipids DHA and ARA that are found naturally in breast milk that are very important for babies' development. If you are not familiar with DHA and ARA, those are the very important components that are found in breast milk that help babies with their mental and visual development. This formula is also provides the more easily to digest whey protein to the babies just like breast milk. Again, if you are searching for good source of an infant formula, try some Bright Beginnings available at diapers.com today.

Frustrated
Posted July 7th, 2010 by hipmommyI have been making arrangements for all kinds of activities for my kids this summer, such as art camp, library events, playdates and so on. But I just do not have anything scheduled for them today. I just wanted a day that I did not have to drive them anywhere. I need to stay home and take care some of my business, but my oldest one just keeps nagging me. She says, "I'm bored, nothing to do". I am so frustrated.... my 1 year old keeps crying because her big sister takes her toys away. Every time that happens, I need to stop whatever I am doing and take care of them. I need a break. I wish my family was living near by..... I never get a break from my kids. I love my kids, but I just need a time to myself every once awhile. I just hope that one day, I can purchase a house near my mom.... Wish me luck.
Playdate
Posted June 22nd, 2010 by hipmommyMy oldest daughter had a playdate yesterday for 3 hours. We went to visit a boy from her kindergarden class. They were so cute playing together. I guess this boy is my daughter's first boy friend.... I know that my husband does not want to hear it, but my daughter keeps telling me that this boy is special. They played board games and swam. My daughter had a great time visiting him. When it was time to leave, she did not want to leave.... I had tough time getting her ready to go back home, but as soon as I said we are coming back again, she was okay with it. I can't believe that my little girl is growing up so fast.
Spinning around...
Posted June 16th, 2010 by hipmommyMy 16 months old has been spinning around like crazy. She eventually gets dizzy, but she gets up and wants to try to spin around over and over again. It just funny watching her do that
I wonder what she is thinking while she is spinning around. I wish she can talk. It is amazing to see many things that she learned to do in the past few months. I always say that it is hard taking care of her, but at the same time I am blessed to be able to watch her grow up. It is also nice that my husband works from home and be able to spend time with the girls when he is not busy with his work. I have to be more thankful of what I have and enjoy my life
Busy summer!
Posted June 14th, 2010 by hipmommyI feel like a taxi driver and I've been so busy taking my oldest daughter to places. Ever since my daughter's summer vacation started, I have been non stop just driving her around. Library events, piano lessons, softball games, play-dates and etc. Not only that I have a 16 months old who likes to run. My little one does not want to be strapped in a stroller. Even in the library, I am chasing her like crazy. I can't wait for her to turn to a reasonable age. I usually take her to the lapsit story time, but of course she is not interested in books at all. It will be a busy summer and I still have a long months a head of me before school starts again. Being busy is a good thing, but I am not get anything done at all. I have so much freelance work to do and only have so little time... Wish me luck.

Softball Game
Posted June 12th, 2010 by hipmommyAnother weekend of my oldest daughter's soft game today. We have been busy for the past weekends. Sometimes we have a softball game, birthday party to go to and piano group lessons all in one Saturday. My husband is an assistant coach, so it makes it more fun for my daughter. But my husband gets so worn out. It is a coaches pitch softball, so when the head coach is not there, my husband has to pitch. He said that pitching is hard. My husband will be pitching today. I wish I can go to the game, but with 16 months toddler running around, I really can't enjoy the game. I try that at the last few games and it was a disaster. My little one won't sit in a stroller, she likes to run away from me and it was constant running around. I can't wait for her to turn to a reasonable age. I hope that my oldest one is going to have a fun and great game today!
Piano lessons
Posted June 11th, 2010 by hipmommyMy daughter has been taking piano lessons for the last two years. She started when she was 4 years old and she has been doing a great job playing piano. My daughter really really enjoys playing piano. She loves her teacher, lessons and loves to practice everyday. She never wants to miss her lesson. She is following Suzuki method and she is almost done with her book 1. I am very proud of her. She has attended a several recitals as well. She always tells me she a little nervous performing in front of many people, but she always does well. I am looking forward to seeing her playing some classical music soon.
Update your navigation systems
Posted June 11th, 2010 by hipmommyThis is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NAVTEQ. All opinions are 100% mine.
It's summer time! I'm getting ready to drive my 2 kids around for their summer activities. I am sure that many moms out there are ready to become a taxi-driver for their kids like myself. Since I spend most of my day in a car, I am always conscious about the safety of my car and driving with caution. Especially driving to a new place with your kids can be stressful. I usually use my in-car navigation system to get to places, but lately I noticed that sometimes I end up stuck in a traffic jam and taking more time to get to my destination. Then I realized that in-car-navigation needs an update.
To save time and headaches, it is very important for moms to make sure that their in-car navigation system unit is up to date. I found that to update an in-car-navigation is simple & easy by visiting www.updateyourmap.com. This site is offered by a company called NAVTEQ, which is the leading company that provides maps, traffic and location data for the most navigation systems. I was able to simply visit www.updateyourmap.com picked the car I drive and was able to pick the built-in system for my car by using its drop down menu. The site also supports portable device as well. All you need to do is to simply find your device from the drop down menu. My update was quick and easy. Now, I don't have to worry about getting lost or being late to my daughters summer activities. Not only that, I can also avoid traffic jams, save time and gas. I will probably save 30 min to 2 hours of my driving time depending on where I go just by updating my in-car navigation system.
In addition, it also updates 100,000 points of interest, so that you can easily find near by gas stations, near by fast food and etc. No more headaches to find places. Remember, be sure to update your in-car-navigation systems and enjoy your summer!
Worn out!
Posted June 11th, 2010 by hipmommyI have been very tired and worn out lately. I have been chasing my youngest one non-stop. She just does not stop running around. I've tried taking her to a local library to attend the lap-sit reading program for her, but she has no interest in books. She is so different from my oldest. At 15 months old, my oldest one would sit on my lap and listen to the stories that I read for her. I think I lost a lot of weight as well for chasing my little one around. My little one usually goes to bed around 7:30p.m. and I have plenty of time to do stuff for myself, but I am so tired and do not want to do anything..... I need a break! Am I just getting old?
softball game night
Posted April 21st, 2010 by hipmommyMy oldest daughter has been playing softball since past March and tonight was her second game. It is very fun to watch 5 & 6 year old kids playing softball. They are so cute. My daughter did well tonight and I am very proud of her. It is so amazing the fact that she is handling half-day kindergarten, piano lessons and softball. She is asking to do more activities, but I told her that for now, we are sticking with piano and softball.
