My oldest daughter has been asking me to plan a vacation for her upcoming birthday. My duaghter's and my vacation dream vacation is to visit Walt Disney world in Florida. Besides Walt Disney World, my husband and I want to take our girls to near by attractions as well. I have never visited Walt Disney World, so I am getting very excited about planing this vacation!

While I was looking for a place near by Walt Disney World, I came across a place called Kissimmee, FL. It seems to me that Kissimmee, FL and its near by areas have everything my family and I want for a vacation. Kissimmee, FL is just a few miles south of Orlando, FL, which is very convinient area. And the beaches are just an hour away.

In addition to near by attractions, Kissimmee, FL got many places to stay, such as hotels, motels, vacation rentals as well as compgrounds & RV parks. Since we have a little baby, I am planning this vacation using Kissimmee's website to rent a condo. Traveling with 5 year old and a baby is tough, so staying in a home like environment is very important for us. It is important for us to relax and enjoy our vacation. Below is an itinerary that I came up so far:

Have you heard of the Stark Museum of Art? Well it is an art museum located in Orange, Texas. I personally have not visited this museum, but since I love art I would like to visit this museum in the near future. For those of you who are planning to visit Texas for your vacation this summer, plan to visit this museum that offers the art of the American West. This would be a great opportunities for kids to learn and explore the art of the American West. The museum actually offers some great interactive activities for children so that children can develop an appreciation and better understanding of the arts.

There are many different types of the art of the American West. At the Stark Museum of Art, they offer collections such as Western Art, American Indian Art, Decorative Arts, and Rare Books and Manuscripts. There are many artists' great works works can be viewed at this museum. They have numerous exhibitions to focus on certain artist(s) to educate people on that particular art. Currently, they are offering a special exhibition on Celebrate Shangri La from March 15, 2008 through June 28, 2008. This exhibition will be focused on artistic representations of flora and fauna found in Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas. The works of artists such as John James Audubon and Dorothy Doughty vividly portray plants, birds and animals will be displayed at the museum.

The museum is also involved with The Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation that is a non-profit foundation that offers to help improve the quality of life in southeast Texas. They promote and assist education, the arts, and health and human services.  I love the fact that museum dedicates their services to reach out to the public.

My good college friend is originally from India. Since she and I were living right next door in the college dorm, I used to learn many things about India from her. I never visited India in my life, but one day I would like to visit there to see the place my friend grew up. I was looking through my photos today and found some photos of my cousins who visited here 5 years ago from Japan. They've never visited U.S. before, so my husband and I took them to a tour of nation's capitol, Washington D.C.! My cousins were so amazed of every place we visited in Washington D.C. tours We took them to Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, White House, Smithsonian, Georgetown, and many other well known places in Washington D.C. By the time we were done with the tour, my cousins told us that it was very educational and they will remember this experience forever. This vacation became one of my memorable vacation as well. My cousins differently want to come back to the U.S. again to do more sightseeing tours of the other major cities to learn more about different history and culture within the United States.

I've been on a vacation taking trip down in Georgia. My brother lived in Savannah, Georgia back in the 90's so part of my vacation trip was to visit him. As I was on my way to go visit him, I was lost getting to his place. I was very worried because I did not have cell phone or GPS system back then, but people in Georgia were very friendly and kind enough to tell me directions. With the help of kind people, I safely got to my brother's place.

The very next day after I arrived at my brother's place, I went out to explore to enjoy Savannah's historical landmarks. I love the fact that Georgia is filled with amazing history and cultures.
